Here's another late night tanda I played in Salon Canning in Buenos Aires. While these songs are more unknown and challenging they are still very danceable and beautiful. You can compare this tanda to the Jorge Maciel with Osvaldo Pugliese tanda I've posted earlier. Enjoy!

Carlos Dante, Alfredo De Angelis y Julio Martel en 1946
As a dj and a dancer I have enjoyed the recordings of De Angelis from the 50's with Larroca (and some of Godoy) more than his 40's era with Dante, Martel and Ruiz. However this is music that will grow on you and now during my second stay in Buenos Aires I've really fallen for De Angelis for good. While tangos from De Angelis (the valses are more popular) and somewhat also D'Agostino are played less in milongas in Europe, they are a necessary main ingredient of milongas in Buenos Aires.

Here are some of the most beautiful tango duets from Carlos Dante and Julio Martel with Alfredo De Angelis. Enjoy!

D'Agostino y Vargas

1. Ángel D'Agostino / Ángel Vargas - "Rondando tu esquina" 1945

4. Ángel D'Agostino / Ángel Vargas - "No vendrá" 1945

Ángel D'Agostino & Ángel Vargas
Here are some of my favorite recordings from D'Agostino, all of which are recorded in 1945. There's something very special about the music of the D'Agostino orchestra with the soft arrangements and piano and the vocals of the great Ángel Vargas. Enjoy!
