This weeks guest dj tanda comes again from Dj Arina Grigorieva from Moscow. She presents us some of the amazing songs Raúl Berón recorded with the great Francini-Pontier orquesta.

"Decade of '40 turned out to be an endless factory of young artists, thrown to recreate and to renew the civil music. This way, they arise musical, singers, lyricists, composers and talented arrangers, that the previous generations connect tangueras of '20 and '30 still current like the cases of Fresedo, Canaro, Firpo, Say Sarli, between others, with an eager childish prank and enthusiast of the size of Troilo, Pugliese, D'Agostino, D'Arienzo, Demare, Maderna and many other that would turn out to be idle to mention in this moment.

Between them, a band: the title Francini-Pontier, magic communion of two extraordinary musicians, identified with a style renovator but, at the same time, well milonguero.
In 1945, they decide to try together a new stage shaping a band that would turn into a real icon of the decade. They make debut on September 1 in the opening of the "Tango Bar", mythical place of the avenue Current 1200, between the streets Liberate and Talcahuano, right in the center of Buenos Aires.

The formation was integrated for: Juan José Paz in the piano; in the line of bandoneones, Pontier, Ángel Domínguez, Nicolás Paracino and Juan Salomone; in the violins, Francini, Pedro Sarmiento, Aquiles Aguilar and Mario Lalli; Rafael del Bagno in the double bass and the voices of Raúl Berón and Alberto Podestá."
